Full description
Coastal beachcomber tote bag. An unusual tote bag made from blue fabric with an appliqué decorative panel cut from beautiful beachcomber print fabric. The bag is made from blue fabric with streaks of white running through the weave. The panel features a coral-decorated bottle, a starfish, seaweed and driftwood in coastal shades of beige, blue, dark green and cream. I’ve added a beige machine-embroidered decorative border to the panel, and I’ve then frayed the edges of the fabric to give a lovely distressed fringed effect. Overlapping the bottom corner of the panel is a circle of blue print fabric with a blue and white shell in the centre. I’ve also added two wooden buttons with the words “Handmade with love” and two tiny hearts inscribed on them. The bag is lined with a nautical-style fabric in white with blue stripes.
This delightful tote bag really captures the essence of the coast and beachcombing. It's a very versatile bag and would make a lovely gift, particularly for someone who loves the beach.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (36cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are approx. 24 inches (60cm) from end to end, and are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or carried as a handbag.
