Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

I wanted to create a jolly seaside print of a jolly seaside place. Something to make you smile and make a gloomy day seem a little bit brighter.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This is an original linocut print of the popular seaside town of Southwold, on the Suffolk Coast. It is based on photographs I took during a holiday in the area.
I made this print entirely by hand and pressed it at home using the back of a spoon and a Bamboo Baren.
This is print number 1 of an edition of 10 prints which I made using the reduction linocut process. As the linoplate was destroyed during the production process there will be no other original prints made from this plate.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Ink on Fabriano Acid Free Artist's Paper 200gsm.
The print measures approx 6 inches x 8 inches and the paper is approx. A4 (portrait orientation).
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will provide a small Certificate of Authenticity with the print. The print will come wrapped in cellophane and tissue paper.
I will post it out to you in a board backed envelope and I will send it using Royal Mail's 1st Class Signed For Delivery in the UK and International Tracked/Signed For Service if sending overseas. I usually pop a piece of card inside the envelope for added protection, this is cut down from recycled sources.
Any additional purchases ordered at the same time as this item will shipped free within the same package.
