A unique birthday or ‘thank you’ gift for the book lovers in your life.
The bookmark is a little piece of fibre art in itself. I made the bookmark by piecing strips of silk fabric in shades of Autumn colours. Using free motion embroidery I drew rolling hills and tall grasses with my sewing machine to create a landscape effect. The bookmark is finished off with satin stitch around the edges and a tassel.
The bookmark is backed with red wool felt and the firm interfacing inside gives it a robust structure.
The bookmark measures 5cm/2” x 18cm/7”
