Full description
This is the Male Sainfoin Bee or Melitta dimidiata in the most fancy antique EPNS Cigarette Case which is covered in ornate decoration.
He is made of needlefelted wool and stitched vintage thread and has ornate wings too, made from vintage gold thread.
This is one of the largest bee pieces I’ve ever made, 3.5 the size of the real bee, and one of very few left from the second FIFTY BEES exhibition.
I do have other bees left from the four exhibitions. Much of these have been shared via the FIFTY BEES Instagram page.
