Full description
This is Bee 58 Female Long-fringed Mining Bee or Andrena congruens.
It’s built into this lovely, very old, jewellery box From A.P.Roger of Guernsey.
It’s from the 2nd FIFTY BEES exhibition 2018 which took place at the Richard Jefferies Museum in Swindon.
There’s a lovely weight and feel to this container, and the bee inside is glamorous, with its dark red wings, perfectly in keeping with the pot it sits in.
I do have other bees left from the four exhibitions. Much of these have been shared via the FIFTY BEES Instagram page.
