Malachite is a copper-based mineral, therefore the green colour often comes from oxidation of the copper, similar to the verdigris that forms on copper roofs.
It was often ground up and used as a pigment and cosmetic by the ancient Egyptians.

Full description
Earrings made with gorgeous striated green malachite nuggets and round copper beads strung onto a single piece of copper wire that has been hand-shaped into long earwires. The bottom of the earwire has been hammered flat and texturised.
The earrings measure 5cm from the top of the earwire to the bottom.
Will come in an organza gift bag.
