I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.
So if its slick, shiny, bright colours you are looking for, that's really not happening here but warm, funny, happy creature lead pieces - you are in the right place. Step in and take a look around.

Inspired by a walk in the Rivelin valley in Sheffield, a little bit of the outdoor brought home.
I was trying to think of where these little wrens would look good - as a maker I have them dotted all over my house - but that's just it, they look good anywhere. I had them on the table at Christmas and other celebrations, in the bathroom amongst the plants or on the shelf in the bedroom. But think paper weight on a desk, next to books, in a conservatory, hey! lets fill the house - now I am getting carried away. But you know what I mean...

Full description
Woodfired pottery birds, handmade so each one has its own personality.
They are made by pinching clay into the distinctive wren shape, adding beak and wings, then carving to add feather like texture. This also accentuates the flow of the glaze as it pools in the deeper parts giving them a deeper colour.
Because of this there is some variation to the finish, some have a more solid brown, almost black appearance while others are predominantly brown with darker streaks. Very handmade, very individual.
They are capable of sitting comfortably in the palm of your hand as they are 4.5 cm wide and 5cm tall. Lovely alone or as a set.
I think you'll agree this is a great little gift, suitable for nature lovers, excellent for secret santa and even as a something you could give to the men in your life type of present. And we all know how tricky that one can be!
I try to recycle and reuse packaging but not at the expense of safe travel.
