Single thimble component, handcrafted in my studio in York.
Solid sterling silver.
For a while now I have been asked to create haberdashery components singularly, to be able to take on and off different chains and/or add to other necklaces.
This thimble is a great further addition, on top of my single cotton reel component, to allow this flexibility to happen.
I love this solid sterling silver thimble. Such a great component!
It is cast from an old thimble chosen from my vintage collections. A good size - 18mm high.
It arrives back from casting and I give it a really good file and emery and clean it up before soldering the jump ring on top and giving the whole thing a really high shine polish.
I love the larger finding look too. The finding/jump ring on top measures 5mm inner diameter.
Arrives packaged in one of my little square branded gift boxes, to keep safe!
Consider wearing alone, on a chain or fabric, and adding to other necklaces as your day/mood/fancy takes!
