Full description
Silver earring studs textured with vintage lace, completely handmade in my studio in York.
I use vintage lace from my vintage collections for these earrings which has been sourced over the years at brocantes in France.
Using my rolling mill to impress the lace onto silver sheet I then use a disc cutter to punch a circle out.
With these particular earrings I cut a larger circle out and then cut this in half. After filing and lots of emery I solder an ear post to the back before highly polishing.
I've soldered the sterling silver ear post high up on one end of the half circle. So that the earring hangs below the lobe. Gorgeous, I love this look. And the texture, shape and style creates a wonderful contemporary earring.
The earrings measure 13mm high and 6mm diameter.
Please note, each pair will differ due to the nature of the lace and different sections that I cut out.
They come gift packaged in one of my lovely branded pillow boxes, complete with all the trimmings.
