Full description
Fused glass freestanding piece on a solid wood base. This dinky sculpture combines transparent turquoise and blue glass flowers, a solid wood base and wire stems. This looks lovely either on a window sill or on a mantelpiece. Each sculpture is completely unique.
To make it, I used art glass and cut and shaped individual petal and circle shapes from transparent, turquoise and blue art glass. I then paint specialist glass paint which turns into hundreds of tiny turquoise bubbles in the heat of the kiln. I add thin copper foil and enamel paint and carefully arranged them in my the kiln, trapping the wire between the layers. The flowers are fused slowly overnight in my kiln. Once completely cooled, I washed the flowers and glued them securely into the wooden plinth.
Size approx: 9cm x 9cm
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
