The Manor Garden, Hemingford Grey
An impressionist watercolour painting capturing the timeless charm of a historic country house nestled within a lush, romantic garden. This piece is inspired by the enchanting gardens of an ancient house in Hemingford Grey, near St Ives, Huntingdon—grounds that have been lovingly tended for many years.
I aimed to convey a sense of untamed beauty, allowing the exuberant forms and vivid colours of the garden to dance across the composition, gently pushing the house and treeline into the distance. The result is a light, buoyant atmosphere full of life and movement.
Delicate touches of gold and silver gouache add richness and subtle shimmer, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the scene.
This original watercolour measures 11 x 16 inches and is presented in a 16 x 20-inch soft white mount. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and will be carefully flat-packaged and dispatched promptly with Royal Mail Medium Parcel Tracked 48 for the UK or International Tracked and Signed for Heavier for the USA
