Full description
Beach pottery is interesting in various ways, including the age and history of the piece of pottery, and the effect being in the water has on it. This pendant has been made from a piece of tumbled pottery with a slight outward angle on it, which suggests that it's come from a cup, jug or bowl. The scene in the pendant is of a tower with a view over water with trees behind. A faint pattern of cracks in the glaze adds to the feeling of history and age.
The pendant is 3 cm high, 2.5 cm wide and 4 mm thick. The total length of the pendant and fine sterling silver trace chain is 55 cm (approx. 21.5 inches). If you would prefer a shorter chain please let us know the length you would like.
Our jewellery is individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of pottery is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
