This pretty little glass vase is perfect for a few daffodils and would make a lovely eco-friendly gift.
The soft white vase used to be a bottle containing a 'designer' soft drink. I took advantage of the unusual tapering shape of the bottle by cutting the top off at an angle, before polishing the edges until smooth. Then I sandblasted the bottle creating a design of butterflies playing between long waving blades of grass.
Etched recycled bottle vase in white and clear glass, handmade by me in my home studio on the Wirral peninsula, NW England.
DIMENSIONS: The vase base is 7.5cm (3") in diameter and the vase is 14cm (5.5") tall.
CARE: The frosted finish is permanently etched into the glass and has a protective coating to resist finger marks. I advise gentle handwashing to retain the protective surface coating; do not put this vase in the dishwasher as over time this will dull the surface.
