This cactus was part of a textile design I created, just thought it would make a great card too! We tend to forget what great shapes and structures they bring with that flash of colour now and then .

Full description
Cacti are a popular house plant as they need little looking after and some have beautiful displays of flowers at intervals. This hand painted Rosy Pincushion Cactus set in a light grey shaded plant pot, is a unique handmade card. The printed image is hand cut and mounted with the text Happy Anniversary. Tiny black glass gems highlight the protuding spikes with a larger pink gem in the flower and a clear one on the pot. The plump shape with needle spikes does actually remind one of a pin cushion. When it is bloomimg the pink flower brings this green prickley ball to life. Inside the card is a smaller mounted image with the text ‘Have a Lovely Day’.
This card size is 150 x 150mm with a scalloped edge and matching white envelope.
