I love paper and I love making things, so making handmade books is the natural progression. I enjoy trying out different book structures and Coptic is one of my favourites to make.
I saw this packaging about to go in the bin and I thought the ready made holes seemed perfect for making a book!

This sales item is for all 3 books shown.
The covers of these books are recycled plastic packaging. Each one has a coloured card folded page front and back, which can be seen through the open mesh of the covers.
The inside pages are a lightly textured cold pressed 200gsm watercolour paper.
I have stitched the books together using Coptic stitch and coloured waxed linen thread. This style of binding (Coptic) allows the pages to open completely flat.
The books are square 10cm by 10cm.
