Full description
The beach glass we've used for this pendant is extra special. It is a perfect circle of old glass from a bottle stopper. The bottle stopper was broken but then the top part survived. We have tumbled the glass so it is smooth. The glass is the lovely aquamarine colour of old bottles, from the time before white glass could be made cheaply. It is full of wonderful bubbles, which is also a sign of its age. Because it is a perfect circle, we have used it as the backdrop for a circular tree of life charm, and hung it on a snake chain. The curve of the sterling silver snake chain looks great with the curves of the glass and charm. This is the only piece of glass of this type we have ever found.
The pendant is 2.5 cm across and 6 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine sterling silver snake chain.
Our jewellery is individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges in sand (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
