Full description
Beach pottery is always special because it has a history. The pieces of beach pottery we've used for this charming hanger have come from many different ranges, including blue jasperware. We have tumbled the pottery so it is rounded, smooth and clean. The centre piece of the hanger is curved so it is probably from a cup or jug. It is old and the glaze is cracked, adding a second pattern to the flowers. We have used a variety of pinks for the rest of the hanger to add interest and colour. The back of the hanger is top quality laser cut plywood.
The hanger is 9.5 cm across and 9 mm thick. It comes on a 8 cm cotton cord. If you would prefer a longer cord please let us know the length you would like.
Our pottery wall hangers are individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of pottery is unique, so each wall hanger is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of their charm. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The wall hanger will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
