This is one of the fifty bees I made last year for the fourth fifty bees exhibition at Black Swan Arts in Frome.

Full description
This is bee 172, Shiny-vented Sharp-tail Bee or Coelioxys inermis. The lovely small vintage powder compact is approximately 1.5” wide with a mirror in the lid. The bee is made of wool, vintage thread and kamibari gold and silk embroidery thread.
I do have other bees left from the five exhibitions. Much of these have been shared via the FIFTY BEES Instagram page.
