Thank you for visiting my Folksy shop. I hope that you like my stained glass and greetings cards. I'm happy to make custom items so if you would like me to make something special for you please get in touch.
Owing to the recent increases in Royal Mail postage costs I am now charging a small amount for postage when you order a greetings card. I hate having to do this, but as a very small business I cannot afford to sell my cards at a loss!
I have made glass animals and other original designs for several years, but in 2020 I decided to attempt a glass animal alphabet.
I am making donations of some of the profits from selling the glass alphabet hangings to Longfield Hospice in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire. It's our local hospice and I want to support the work that they do.
Longfield supports adults in Gloucestershire who are living with life-limiting illness by:
- Providing free specialist care, support and advice from diagnosis to the end of life and bereavement
- Enabling people to live well and die in their place of choice
- Supporting families and carers
- Sharing our specialist knowledge with others

A stained glass X-Ray Tetra fish made from a selection of clear and textured glass with painted features and a ribbon for hanging.
Size: Approx 25cm wide x 9cm high
Made using copper foil technique (Tiffany), with silvery grey coloured joints.
Suitable for indoor or outdoor use & looks especially good hung in front of a window.
X is for X-Ray Tetra Fish! This marine creature is the 24th animal in my Animal Alphabet. I've made various glass animals over recent years but during lockdown in March 2020 I set myself the challenge of creating a whole alphabet of stained glass animal hangings. I'm nearing the end, so very soon the complete set will be available here in my shop.
X-Ray Tetra Fish come from the Amazonian coastal waters of South America and they are popular aquarium fish. The strange name comes from the way that the fish's translucent skin allows its spine to be seen. It's certainly an odd creature, but ideally suited to stained glass!
