Full description
These sweet little studs are made from aluminium which I have dyed pink and printed with a silver flower design. I seal in the dye so that it becomes a permanent part of the metal and saw pierce the disc shape by hand, filing and smoothing the edges to give a nice finish. Finally I've drilled holes for the sterling silver studs to feed through and domed the discs inwards so that they catch the light. It's not possible to solder
aluminium so the studs are held onto the ear by pressure from the butterfly at the back.
The discs measure approximately 13mm in diameter.
These are slight seconds because there are two tiny scratches on one of them and one tiny scratch on the other one from when I hammered them.
