I have Norwegian ancestry and I'm lucky to have visited this beautiful country many times. The stunning scenery always inspires me, and especially winter with its deep snow and incredible lights in the sky. In this painting I wanted to capture the feeling of the place - when you see a scene like this you can understand why people thought the Northern Lights were a window on another world, the home of the gods.

Full description
A striking, almost other-worldly winter scene of a road winding through a snow-covered forest under the glow of the Northern Lights. In Norway, people once believed that these lights were the home of the gods, Asgaard. An ideal gift for housewarming, birthday, or for anyone with a love of Scandinavia or myths and legends.
This is an UNFRAMED original watercolour by me, using quality materials, measuring 28cm x 20cm. Option to add a plain white mount with aperture 25cm x 20cm (10"x8"), as shown in the photos.
