Full description
This is a very unusual glass ring. It has come from an old broken bottleneck we found on the beach. It is oval because it has been heated in an incinerator at a dump before finding its way back into the water. The original bottle softened in the heat and was distorted into an oval shape. We very rarely find a bottle neck of this shape. We have tumbled the glass so it is rounded and smooth and hung a beautiful red striped heart in the centre of the oval.
The pendant is 4 cm high, 3.3 cm wide and 11 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine silver plate trace chain. If you would prefer a different length chain please let us know the length you would like.
Our jewellery is made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges in sand (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
