The Japanese fabrics I have been using to create my masks have encouraged me to explore Japanese culture and accessories. I love the multicoloured fabric and unicorns on this fabric, which creates a fun bag.

Seconds Sunday: Reduced to clear
This is a cheerful rainbow fabric with white unicorns and stars print Japanese rice bag, with a complimentary pink fabric interior. The bag has gold cord ties, finished with a traditional covering. The bag is reversible.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
It measures approximately 12cm (4 1/2 inches) in height, width and depth.
In normal viewing, the fabrics do not show through from the opposite side.
The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size, as can be seen in the photos. It could also be used to hold a small ball of wool and craft items.
