The Japanese fabrics I have been using to create my masks have encouraged me to explore Japanese culture and accessories. I love the bright hearts on this fabric, which creates a fun bag.

Full description
A cheerful pink, white and grey hearts fabric with little flowers in the same colours has been used to form this Japanese rice bag. The ties are silver cord, finished with a traditional covering. The bag is reversible and has a complimentary fabric inside with matching colours.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
It measures approximately 12cm (4 1/2 inches) in height, width and depth.
The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size, as can be seen in the photos. It could also be used to hold a small ball of wool and craft items.
Please note that the accessories are for photographic props only and do not come with the bag, but can be used as gift ideas.
