Since I moved to Scotland, I have been attracted by these “gentle giants of Scotland”. I remember my excitement the first time I saw a Highland cow from the bus, on my way to Orkney. Since then, even though I have seen many more “coos”, I am still looking out for them whenever I am on the road.
I immediately wanted to create a print that would show these iconic animals in all their hairy glory.

This friendly Highland Cow just came to say hi! With her wavy dossan (a Scottish word for “forelock”), she will make a great gift for any Highlands enthusiast! The Scottish landscape in the background is inspired by Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.
Highland cows are originally from the Scottish Highlands and are easily recognisable with their long horns and woolly hair.
This lino print is hand burnished on 220g paper. The print size is 19x12cm and the paper size is A5, 14.8x21cm. Each print is hand signed in the back.
Please note that each print is handmade, so they may vary slightly from the one shown in the photos. This makes each print unique!
Sold unframed, I use a 100% recycled backing card and a compostable sleeve to ship it.
