I always loved collecting sea glass, long before I learned how to create things out of glass myself. Lately I've been thinking about just what it is that I love about it. My favourite pieces were the thickest chunks that had been tumbling in the sea for many years until they were really smooth and lovely to hold, and I've tried to capture that in this series of seaglass inspired dishes.

In the depths of winter, this tactile little art glass dish inspired by seaglass and seaweed will remind you tropical summer seas whenever you see it.
The shallow fused glass dish in rich teal coloured glass has a seaweed motif in yellow-green and a smooth satin finish, just like seaglass. The dish is a smooth rounded pebble shape and the glass is thick enough to feel satisfyingly weighty in your hand.
Created for the beachcombers out there, this sea glass inspired dish will bring a touch of the coast to your home. Ideal for holding jewellery or other small items, it would also work well as a small soap dish or tealight holder. Or, just place it on a windowsill and enjoy the way it catches the light!
Teal and yellow-green satin finish fused glass dish, designed and made by me in my studio on the edge of the Wirral peninsula.
DIMENSIONS: The dish is a rounded organic pebble shape, around 10cm x 11cm (4" x 4.25") across at the widest points.
CARE: Handwash only. Due to the colours used this dish is not foodsafe.
