Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

I have tried to capture the frosty pale light of a winter's day, such as it was on the last day I visited this lighthouse.

Full description
This is an original hand pressed reduction linocut print of the famous Lizard Lighthouse, on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. It is based on photographs I took while visiting the area.
I created this print at home using the back of a spoon and an iron.
This is the 2nd of an edition of 5 prints. I have embellished the sky in this print with ink applied with a sponge for a little extra texture.
In addition to this small edition of 5 I have created a second edition of 9 prints without the added sponging. Apart from these 14 prints there will be no other original prints created from this plate which was destroyed during the reduction printing process.
The artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Fabriano Artists Paper 160gm. It measures 6 inches by 4 inches. The paper is hand cut to approx A5 size.
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will mail it out to you in a cellophane packet with a small signed Certificate of Authenticity.
I will post it out to you in a board backed envelope and I will send it 1st class Royal Mail Standard Delivery or Standard International Delivery if sending overseas.
