A stunning gilded Japanese cotton fabric has been used to create this Japanese rice bag, with golds, greens, pinks and black.
The pattern placement may vary to the photos but will feature a peacock's head prominently on at least one side panel.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
The bag is reversible with a black cotton fabric that helps show off the gorgeous peacock.
It measures 11cm (just over 4 inches) in height, width and depth. The peacock fabric has been used to create the tabs to hold the gold ribbon ties and the ribbon ends. A wooden button with my label has been attached inside the bag.
The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size. It could also be used as a make-up bag, project bag or wedding favour.
Please note that the accessories are for photographic props only and do not come with the bag, but can be used as gift ideas.
The bag will be sent folded in plastic free packaging by Royal Mail 2nd class.
