Full description

We make our glass rings from the necks of old broken bottles we find on the beach. The end of the neck is stronger than other parts of the bottle and so survives the action of the waves. We cut the rings off the bottles and tumble them until they are perfectly rounded and smooth. Every ring is different, and the one we have used in this pendant is quite three-dimensional as can be seen in photo 3. This ring encircles a pretty glass bead which has been electroplated in gold.

The pendant is 3.2 cm high, 2.7 cm wide and7 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine gold plate trace chain. If you would prefer a different length chain please let us know the length you would like.

Our jewellery is made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges in sand (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.

The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
