Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

Full description
The card features an original linocut of a little fantasy of two snowpeople in a snowy lighthouse garden surrounded by the dark wintry sea.
I have used my original linocut as the basis for a shaker type card to add a little extra sparkle to the black and white design.
The linocut has been hand printed using Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Ink (water based) on handmade paper taken from a sketchbook, to which I have added accents using Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens and other media. The print has been mounted (using Pritt paper glue and self-adhesive Kraft tape) onto white card and encased in an acetate pocket. A handful of tiny gold stars have been dropped inside and the pocket has been sealed and glued to the front of the blank greeting card (white linen textured card 300gsm) using sticky dots.
Inside I have left the card blank for you to add your own message.
I have initialled the card on the reverse and given it an edition number as I do not intend to create more than 100 cards using original prints of this design. Each one of these cards will be an original creation which uses the same original linocut.
The card size is 14.5cm x 15cm, the artwork itself measures approx. 11.5cm x 11.5cm.
I will mail out the card in a cellophane packet, wrapped in tissue paper in a board backed envelope.
