Hello and welcome or better still welcome back to my little shop.

I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.

So if its slick, shiny, bright colours you are looking for, that's really not happening here but warm, funny, happy creature lead pieces - you are in the right place. Step in and take a look around.

Bev

“He who shall hurt the little wren shall never be belov’d by men” William Blake

I think later in the book he said something about it being perfectly acceptable to keep making wrens even though you have a house full.

Full description

These wrens have a lovely, speckled brown and oatmeal glaze, because of the wood firing there are lots of iron speckles coming through making a beautiful random pattern.

It has the special something wood firing gives pottery, it might be the depth of colour, the lively surface or that it’s born in the fire and has a greater link to the flames that licked it. I don’t know but they are lovely.

Tiny pinch pots, joined together, wings and tail cut to shape and added. Press the beak on at a jaunty wren style angle, then carve to hint at plumage and feather shape. But really - it’s all about the glaze with this one.

Roughly 4cm high by 6cm long

Handmade in small numbers, my not being not keen on measuring or batch making makes each one an individual member of the family.

Ideal gift for anyone who loves birds and nature.

I try to recycle and reuse packaging but not at the expense of safe travel.

I am only posting to UK at the moment, apologies and I hope to change this soon.
