I am intrigued by abandoned and decaying building, especially ones with plants growing from them. I love the way nature slowly takes back control.

This little tea light/planter is based on a traditional middle eastern house (minus the roof) it is made up of two connected sections. One side has the windows and doors details cut out so when a tea light is inside the windows glow. The other side could be planted with a succulent of cactus. Or it would make a perfect desk tidy.

It is made from a dark red clay and then painted with a white slip to give a distressed matt finish, the inside is glazed in a deep red.
