Full description
An extremely pretty gilded Japanese cotton fabric has been used to create this Japanese rice bag. The fabric depicts white cranes on a black background with pink and yellow flowers and is finished with gold gilding.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
The bag is reversible and can be finished with a pink or black cotton fabric.
It measures 11cm (just over 4 inches) in height, width and depth. The Japanese fabric has been used to create the tabs to hold the gold ribbon ties and the ribbon ends.
The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size.
Please note that the accessories are for photographic props only and do not come with the bag, but can be used as gift ideas.
