Full description
Fused glass hanging allium suncatcher. I've used tones of blue and turquoise in my fused glass suncatcher inspired by the alliums that grow in my garden. This looks lovely hanging in a window. Each hanging is completely unique and would make a lovely gift to give a bit of colour and cheer to a friend or loved one.
To make it, I used art glass and cut 2 pieces of transparent glass the same shape and size. I then hand cut copper foil with a scalpel, add it to the art glass, add powdered glass and specialist paints which turn into bubbles in the kiln and fuse it slowly overnight. Once completely cooled, I then add coloured and dichroic dots which I have made previously to give some added interest to the design. A second firing is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect
Comes ready to hang on a silver wire.
Size: 13cm x 8.5cm.
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
