I found the pattern for these unusual bootees in a magazine and used some left over luxury yarn to knit them.

Full description
These bootees have a different look to the usual styles. The fronts wrap over and are fastened with Two flower shaped buttons. They are hand knitted in a luxury yarn.
Please note that the buttons are firmly sewn on but care should be taken to ensure they remain secure.
The yarn used is 75% merino 20% silk 5% cashmere in cream.
The pattern size is for a 3-6mth old with the sole being 9cm.
They are machine washable at 30 degrees
