I love retro! Especially 1960s and 1970s flowers found on ceramics, fabric and wallpaper.
I’ve been working with glass for 18 years now. Ever since I first picked up my chosen glass and glass cutter, I’ve been hooked. I am fascinated by the properties of glass, the array or colours and the processes that that can be used to create different effects. There is always something new to learn and new tools and materials to invest in. It really is addictive!
What I especially love about working with glass are the colours. From crystal clear to shimmery dichroic to opaque pure blocks of colour that will never fade or dull.
I hope I’ve made you curious about the wonderful world of glass too!

Full description
Fused glass retro pink flower suncatcher, perfect in a window, or anywhere you fancy. Inspired by my love of the retro design found on the ceramics, fabrics and wallpaper of the 1960s and 1970s. This would made a groovy gift for lovers of all things retro.
To make this, I cut 2 circles from transparent art glass and fuse them overnight in my kiln. I then hand cut and shape pale pink, turquoise and orange opaque art glass, making petal and circle shapes. I then arrange them on the pre-fired circle and fire the piece a second time to slowly tack fuse the flower into place. Transparent glass with pale pink petals and turquoise and orange centre. All glass is hand cut and assembled, therefore no 2 are exactly the same. One Supplied.
Comes ready to hang on a silver wire.
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
7.5cm diameter, hanging 22cm.
