I'm lucky enough to have a lovely garden that is brimming with flowers in the Summer. Although my flower designs are stylised, the inspiration is the flowers that I grow.
I’ve been working with glass for over 20 years. Ever since I first picked up my chosen glass and glass cutter, I’ve been hooked. I am fascinated by the properties of glass, the array or colours and the processes that that can be used to create different effects. There is always something new to learn and new tools and materials to invest in. It really is addictive!
What I especially love about working with glass are the colours. From crystal clear to shimmery dichroic to opaque pure blocks of colour that will never fade or dull.
I hope I’ve made you curious about the wonderful world of glass too!

Full description
Fused glass suncatcher hanging, using tones of pink and orange, inspired by my love of nature and wildlife. These glass suncatchers look lovely hung in a window where the light can shine through the glass. A lovely gift idea.
To make this suncatcher, I have hand cut 2 rectangles of clear art glass. I then hand cut copper foil with a scalpel. I arranged the copper onto one of the rectangles and added powdered pink and orange glass. The 2nd rectangle of glass is placed on top and it is fused overnight slowly in my kiln. Once cooled, I then added glass leaves and coloured and dichroic dots which I have made previously and include some handpainted enamel accents to give some added interest to the design. A second firing is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect.
Size: 8cm x 10.5cm.
Comes ready to hang on a silver wire.
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
