Orders are sent using 1st Class Post, or Tracked 48 for larger orders in the UK. There is an option to upgrade to tracked/ special delivery, which is the last listing in my shop.

The Japanese fabrics I have been using to create my masks have encouraged me to explore Japanese culture and accessories. I love the subtly of the unicorns in this houndstooth pattern.

Full description

Seconds Sunday: reduced to clear

A fun but elegant unicorn houndstooth patterned fabric has been used to create this Japanese rice bag. The base is plain black cotton fabric. The ties are gold cord, finished with a traditional cover.

The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.

The bag is reversible with a black cotton fabric with a unicorn base.

It measures approximately 12cm (4 1/2 inches) in height, width and depth. A complimentary silver ribbon has been used to create the tabs to hold silver ribbon ties. The tabs at the end of the ribbon have been crafted from the Japanese fabric.

The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size, as can be seen in the photos.

Please note that the accessories are for photographic props only and do not come with the bag, but can be used as gift ideas.
