Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I love making toys with cute expressions, each one is unique and this llama is special as it is the first crochet toy that I have designed myself.
Llamas are one of my favourite animals, they are such gentle creatures with appealing faces. When sheared with a top knot left on I find them both endearing and slightly comical and I hope I have captured these qualities in my design.

Full description
This small llama with a mixed pastel colour blanket would make a delightful child’s birthday present or gift for a new baby. S/he stands approx. 18 cm tall from top to toe and is 11cm in length. I also have a listing for a larger llama in a similar design.
This 'ragdoll' style crochet toy is made in two pieces that are crocheted together, so that there is no chance of losing a leg! S/he has a small mop of hair made of crocheted strands of the same bright rust brown yarn which is crocheted onto the top of the head so is securely attached. S/he comes complete with a crocheted blanket that is securely sewn onto her back so cannot be removed.
As with all my toys, s/he has been designed to be safe for babies and young children to play with and meets the requirements of the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011, displaying the CE mark on the sales tag.
S/he has been made with 100% cotton yarn which has a lovely soft texture and is filled with squishy 100% hi-loft polyester toy stuffing. S/he has hand embroidered sleepy eyes and a smile, sewn with silver grey embroidery thread.
I recommend a gentle hand wash in warm water, dry flat, and do not tumble dry.
S/he will be posted to you carefully wrapped in tissue paper, enclosed in a cardboard box.
