I've always liked things made in miniature, so sewing in miniature seems a natural progression. In the past I've tended to stick with either festive or pastel themes, but the autumn leaves got me thinking about other colour schemes. The rich tones work beautifully on the green wool felt which is a shade called caterpillar.

Full description
With the leaves turning on the trees, I decided it was about time I tried my hand at an autumnal bouquet embroidery. Worked in single and double strand embroidery thread on a beautiful green wool felt background, this little, one of a kind, bouquet measures just 5 cm tall by 3.5 cm wide. A rich selection of sunflowers, roses, rosebuds, gerberas and goldenrod are set off with green foliage and finished with a scarlet bow.
Mounted in a 9 cm diameter wood effect display hoop and backed with green baize, this bouquet is one that will last forever and would make a lovely gift.
Hang out of direct sunlight to avoid fading and keep away from damp.
