Full description
This festive candle screen stands approx 85mm high by 170mm wide. The glass has been handcut, and the trees hand painted with white glass paint before being placed on the base panel. A light sprinkle of white glass powder gives a subtle snow fall effect, whilst pre-fired snowballs have been added for decoration. The piece was then placed in a kiln and fired to 750 degrees Celsius on a tac fire schedule to allow a 3D effect to the final piece. After a slow cooling process, the flat tile was then placed back in the kiln over an arch mould to slump into a curved panel ready for a candle to be placed behind and light up the different greens of the trees. The image shows a larger tea tree candle placed behind the screen.
