During my recent travels to Barcelona, Spain; I had the chance to visit Sagrada Familia (the temple that Gaudi envisaged for the city); the Park Guell - where Gaudi again created some amazing designs. I was inspired by the beautiful colours; shapes and the magic the mosaics created when touched by the light. I wanted re-create that theme and capture it in the form of jewellery; re-using the glass shards that were shaped by the sea. Each sea glass shard was hand picked by myself on the shores in Barcelona; hand painted and oven fired.
Gaudi used shards of tiles to crate some of his iconic mosaics; which now adorn some of the buildings in Barcelona; or can be seen in the Park.

Simple and elegant pendant; the hand painted seaglass almost has a "British flag" motif on it's surface.
The multi coloured sea glass was fired in the oven; so it can weather a bit of water.
The sea glass was hand picked from the shores of the sea in Barcelona; and wire wrapped in tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
This is a chunky piece; that will hang beautifully from the 24" silver plated chain included. The pendant can be worn as part of day time or evening attire.
THe item will come in a handy jewellery box ready for gifting or storage.
