I originally designed this for a friend who has a budgie but had lost my pattern. Found it again, misfiled, today so thought it would be rather fun to make another, So I did !

Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

A budgerigar suncatcher is in the form of a ring in lovely shades of blue with a white head. The bird is perched on a branch with green leaves against a blue sky and iridescent clear sky.

I've framed the ring with twisted wire for strength and neatness.

The suncatcher hangs from a little silver chain which is securely attached at the top by soldered rings.

The suncatcher is 12 cm in diameter a a little smaller than the last couple I have made as I accidentally printed off my older pattern which I had subsequently resized. It is therefore set to a slightly lower price..

I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Every piece I make is unique.

The last photo shows the green version I made previously.
