Inspired by my early reading of books about fairies and elves who lived in little mushroom houses.

Needle felt mushroom fairy house.
A cute little home for fairies or elves. Needle felted in wool with a wool core, covered with dyed wool tops. Climbing roses are growing up the stalk.
I have used a blended red wool fibre for the cap of the mushroom with yellow sari silk and a small amount of glitter thread. The details have been needle felted onto the white wool stalk using fine wool fibres and a very fine needle. The base is blended green fibres with a few green 'slubs' for texture finished with a few wispy wool curls to represent ferns.
10 cms tall and 10 cms across. Attached to wood slice,
All my fairy houses are a one of the kind. No two are exactly the same.
I use mainly recycled packaging.
