Full description
A small porcelain bud vase with a butterfly decoration on the surface. Hand thrown on the potter's wheel, then glazed inside and outside but not on the base. Porcelain clay is fired at very high temperatures and the clay is fully vitrified with the glaze making it completely watertight. The butterfly transfer is a third firing at 800 degrees centigrade and is permanent. The bud vase measures approximately 8cm high, 4cm diameter at the base and 2cm opening. Perfect for holding several flower buds or plants.
