My inspiration came from a visit to Quarry Bank National Trust where they have a working cotton mill. The staff made the cloth on the looms in the factory which can the be purchased in the shop. I loved the design of the bee and the fact that it was spun into thread which was then woven into cloth all on the heritage looms. It's like taking a little bit of history home

Made in the Valleys of Wales, this bag is one of a special edition collection of bee bags and it is simply stunning. The Eton Blue colour is a blue/ green that reminds me of the ocean.
Every knot of the design has been individually tied by hand. The crisscross detail in the middle draws the eye whilst the patterns created in the upper and lower sections allow sneaky peaks at the double lining inside.
A flap folds over from the back to be fastened with a handmade bee button. The design on the button has been burned into the wood using pyrography and then polished using natural bees wax.
The outer lining is a pale green to compliment the exterior of the bag. The oatmeal coloured inner lining is made from a bee fabric that was woven on the heritage looms at Quarry bank National Trust.
The D shaped handles are made from bamboo and are large and comfortable to hold.
4 small metal feet are attached to the bottom of the bag to protect it from the ground.
The bag is made using everlasto cotton macramé twine.
Between the lining and the base of the bag is a thin layer of recyclable plastic for added durability and to create a smoother base.
Measurements:
The overall height including the handles is 35cm
The height of the main body is 22cm
The width at the base is 24cm narrowing to 21cm at the top
The depth of the base is 6cm
All measurements are external and approx.
Packages and parcels will be sent via Royal Mail.
