I've experimented with the Japanese art of shibori - creating dye resists by folding, sewing, gathering up and tying off. The subtle marks made by the etched lino reminded me of shibori the red thread is a nod to the first stages of that technique.

Full description

A collage of 12 individual lino prints in graduations of deep dark blue through to pale grey. bonded on to Strathmore Printmaking Paper. The overall size is 50x40cm and it is ready to pop into a frame of this size (frame not included). The lino prints were created by etching grey linoleum with trails of caustic soda. This bites into the surface of the lino resulting in a rich and complex texture when printed. A handsewn line of bold red thread runs down the centre of the piece..

UK buyers this piece will be very carefully packaged and post First Class Signed For.

Overseas buyer, I am very happy to post this abroad but please contact me first to discuss postage and realistic delivery times in the current circumstances.
