Hello and welcome or better still welcome back to my little shop.

I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.

So if its slick, shiny, bright colours you are looking for, that's really not happening here but warm, funny, happy creature lead pieces - you are in the right place. Step in and take a look around.

Bev

This links my love of birds and tea drinking, I was researching tea ceremonies and discovered tea pets, a tiny creature that joins the ceremony. They are made in low fired absorbent clay so when a little is poured on it as a part of the ceremony, it absorbs the tea and over time changes colour.

Usually made as cute creatures, I just chose one of my favourites and had a go.

Obviously not restricted to tea ceremony use, nice as a decoration anywhere.

Full description

Unglazed, earthenware wrens, made as tea pets but just as good as decorative pieces in their own rights. Could be used as a token or addition to a gift or voucher.

Started as a pinch pot and finished with hand modelled features, giving it an individual look – no two are exactly alike. Unglazed and fired to earthenware temperature.

Handmade in small numbers, each one has its own individual personality and quirks.

Only a tiny thing, around 5 cm high and 4.5 cm in length.

Ideal gift for anyone who loves birds and nature.

I try to recycle and reuse packaging but not at the expense of safe travel.

I am only posting to UK at the moment, apologies and I hope to change this soon.
