I love to cook, but never had anything to hand to protect my surfaces from hot casseroles and dishes. I designed my Trivets to protect surfaces in a practical and decorative way. Friends really liked them so I started making more. Now I have a large range of different shapes! Please take a look at my facebook page for the full range: https://www.facebook.com/Matthewswoodworks/
I also make bespoke pieces. Please contact me for more information and prices

Large Curly Wurly Trivet, designed and handmade by me from Sapele (dark coloured hardwood of the Mahogany family) or Tulipwood (light coloured hardwood of the Poplar family).
This is my take on a traditional Mauri shape from New Zealand
To use your Trivet: For one dish, keep your Trivet together then place the hot dish onto the Trivet: For more than one dish separate the Trivet segments out and place as you wish, however you like, then place the hot dishes on the separate segments. When separated this makes three Trivets that may be placed anywhere. When not in use it looks standing up or laid down on any surface.
Dimensions when closed: 328 x 208 x 23mm (approx)
Please choose your option of either Sapele or Tulipwood using the options button
Please note that the images are representative because each piece is hand made and no two pieces of timber are the same!
