My whippets, Hettie & Biff, can get a bit shivery at night & on their walks, so I started knitting jumpers as soon as they arrived. The problem was that I couldn't find any patterns for a skinny little Whippy with such a long neck, so I've designed my own.
They are now now a seasoned jumper wearer & attract lots of attention when we are out running with their friends in the local meadows.
Proceeds from all these whippet jumpers will be donated to my local Greyhound Rescue charity.

A lovely cosy, jumper, knitted to my own design, in any colour you would like. Knitted especially for a slim whippet to keep out the wintery chills.

This jumper is knitted in soft chunky acrylic yarn, washable by hand or gentle 30 degree wash.
The jumper is made for a whippet with an approximately 20-22 inch chest . It is knitted in 'tank' style, with a long crew neck, without sleeves, so that the whippet can run unencumbered, and it fits snugly around the end of the waist (neck to waist measurement 23 inches) so that it doesn't flap about.
If your whippet isn't used to wearing jumpers, it is best to 'feed' the legs & nose through first while the dog is lying down, so that the legs don't get trapped inside bent!! Hettie is well used to the jumper 'feed' now!
